NEED FOR NATURE WEEK is held especially for those of you who see value in having a planet to live on, understand that we don't have a plan(et) B as a backup, perhaps work professionally with nature, or are simply interested in learning more about how you yourself can make a difference to our human and environmental health.

NEED FOR NATURE WEEK runs throughout week 48 - 24th to 28th of November– the same week as the worldwide celebration of overconsumption that demonstrably has major consequences for our planet.

The purpose of the NEED FOR NATURE festival is to create a different path to tread than the trend that is the foundation for Black Friday, Black Week and Black November. A celebration of joy, a celebration and a reminder of human as an inseperably connected part of nature. A space held by Nature Connectedness experts, for those of you who feel that indifferent buy-and-throw-away culture and harmful human activities must be a thing of the past - and for you who are curious about how you can step into the Regenerative Era in a pleasurable way that has roots in your authentic evolutionary psychological needs – in your need for nature and for connectedness with something greater than you.

Why NEED FOR NATURE WEEK?

We live in a time characterized by uncertainty. Separation is our premise, and with an increasing disconnection from what we came from, has followed an indifference, and an ego-centered pattern of action that now has noticeable consequences on both people and the environment.

We are in a global prosperity crisis - we have great socio-economic inequality in health, and allow ourselves to be pressured by norms coming from outside. Never before have so many lived with mental imbalances, diagnoses, and the inability to ground themselves.

Our planetary home is changing - we are exterminating 150 species daily, depleting natural oil and gas resources, we have waved goodbye to the UN's AGENDA 2030 target of a global temperature increase of max. 1.5 percent. This year we consume more than 2.5 of the earth's resources, we have created a new geological Anthropocene age with our actions, and live with daily news media reports of "imminent danger of collapse".

And the craziest thing is... THAT WE DO IT CONSCIOUSLY. WE KNOW.

Humans are the first species on the planet to be aware of the consequences of their actions, but still continue (!) On BLACK FRIDAY 2023, the world's shoppers spent $9.8 billion on material bargains. Card turnover on Black Friday 2024 was 43% higher than on Black Friday 2023. In 2024, the amount is estimated to increase to 11 billion dollars - Friday only. The world spent $74.4 billion on Black Friday 2024; the highest revenue amount ever recorded. In addition, BLACK WEEK, CYBER MONDAY and BLACK NOVEMBER. In 2024 alone, $241 billion was spent during the holiday sales season. All this is at the heart of the growing interest in the Nature Connectedness field.

Another way is needed. NOW! This is our big WHY for inviting you to NEED FOR NATURE WEEK.
